We had the chance to interview Davide Rosato, project manager of the Gemini campaign from @Skyward Experimental Rocketry, a student association of the Politecnico di Milano, with which Rollon has been collaborating. In fact, the extraction and re-entry of the aerobrakes of the rocket were made possible by the linear movement of the Rollon rails. The strength and load capacity of the rails guarantee that the mechanism can operate perfectly at a speed of 1,000 km/h and at a sustained load of 200 N each.
Watch the interview to retrace their experience at the 2023 edition of EuRoC – the first rocket launch competition for European university teams – and to get a sneak peek of their future plans!
